Easter Egg Hunt

Last night, Anthony, Lillian, and I went out and hid Easter Eggs around the bus shelter.  Too bad our neighbours saw us, so they had a good idea where the eggs were hidden this morning, but it was fun to tell the other children that our neighbour had seen three "Easter Bunnies" around the bus shelter.  Excitement was high before school, and they found most of the eggs.  We did do some pretty tricky ones since the children are getting older!  They even had time to pretend to be Easter Bunnies too, and they hid them so we could find them again before the bus came.  When we got inside, Bronwynn and Lillian wanted to hide some eggs inside - here are a few pictures of our indoor hunt!

Wyatt found one under the table! He was disappointed there was nothing inside!
Oden found the other one under the table and tried to give it to Wyatt.
When Bronwynn finished hiding the eggs, she went back to her artwork, and letters!
Lillian was ready to do some art too after hiding the eggs!
Later I hid some, and Bronwynn found most of them!
Oden was fascinated with how the eggs broke in half and then fit back together.  I hope collecting eggs from his chickens at home won't be ruined by our egg hunt!

Catch that dog!

Notice Anthony, Lillian, Allie and Oden all strategically placed around the table.  The dog (Bronwynn) is in her cage (under the table).
The dog escaped, again!  Anthony is bringing her back to her cage.
There's our dog - looking cozy under there.
Here is a not so happy dog.  She was growling.
Can you see Bronwynn's leg under the table?  Allie and Anthony are busy working together to keep the dog in there.
Oh, no.  Who let the dog out?  The children work together to bring it back!  They spent about 1/2 hour playing this game.  I enjoyed listening to them talk to each other and plan their play.
Easter is coming.  We've been doing many Easter crafts.  I had to get a picture of the girls doing this one.  The were really concentrating.

Colourful Snow

Look at our colourful snow!
Lillian enjoyed using the spray bottles today.
                                                          Allie liked spray painting.
Anthony and another child painted blue X's on the the snow out to the bus, and the other children had to find them.

Spray bottles full of water, soap and a little paint = hours of outdoor fun!

Bronwynn did take a turn with the spray bottles, but she really enjoys sledding!
Why is that Oden always seems to be wandering off? :)

Snow Fort

Here is a picture of our snow fort on Thursday morning.  The bus was 15 minutes late because of the bad roads, so we had lots of time to work on it.
It is taller than some of the children!
It sure was a pretty winter morning.
