dolls

We have been busy playing with the dolls here. They join us at the table for snacks, and today two of them came outside with us. The kids put the dolls in the sled with a blanket to keep them warm! They even came to the barn with us to see the calves, but somehow I ended up having to pull the sled with the dolls back to the house!

We made bookworm bookmarks for craft, and had a longer circle time with a Franklin story, and a lot of discussion because we had a group of older children today!

Spring is coming

We have two baby calves. A sure sign of spring. The children enjoy walking to the barn to see them. One is a week old, the other is only a day old.
Great morning - girls are teenagers with babies and I am their grandma! A.J. is knocking over any toys furniture in his path. He likes climbing on the doll bed, but throws the babies on the floor if the girls try to include him in their game!

Valentine's Party

We had a really fun morning. We made Valentine's crowns. A.J. and Lillian kept theirs on all morning! We had fun giving out our Valentine's to our friends, and are excited to bring some home. We had our faces painted. A big thank you to Oden and A.J. for bringing in some treats to share. We've all had our share of sugar, and can't wait to get outside at wake up time. (Or maybe that's just me!!!). Thanks to all for sending Valentine's, treats, and dressing you children in pink or red.  It all added to the excitement at our party!

What a busy day!

The girls loved playing with the dolls, and they often stopped to interact with our real baby - A.J.  They liked watching him practice walking with the push toy! Oden was busy creating with the new play doh we made. It is a different sensory experience to play with warm play doh.:-)  Happy day all around. Now to get ready and do some sledding. Before ourr walk to the bus.

Update

Sorry for not updating this lately. My computer crashed a few weeks ago.  We purchased an inexpensive tablet to allow me access to the internet.  This is a learning process for me.  I haven't figured out pictures yet, but I am hoping to add some soon.

Okay, so what have we been up to? Lot's of painting! For art, with brushes, our hands, even the snow outside!  So glad it has warmed up and snowed.  We did some sledding, played hockey and snow soccer. We will enjoy this winter weather while it lasts.
