rainy days

Well, on the positive side, this rainy weather is giving us a little more time for our Mother's Day crafts! The children are having fun making something special for someone special! The older children are enjoying puddle jumping! And Wyatt got to use his new umbrella for our walk!

egg laying

Lillian and I saw one of our chickens lay an egg this morning. After the bus, Lillian wanted to check on the chickens again. Our other chicken was laying, so we waited for her to lay her egg. AJ was so patient, but he had no idea what we were doing, or what the egg was when we showed him! He did like watching the other chicken wander around him! So much fun and education from 2 chickens!

Earth Day!

Today is Earth Day! Anthony and Lillian and I have been talking about the things we do daily for our Earth (such as using facecloths to dry our hands in day care instead of paper towels). I was so impressed this morning when Bronwynn told me it was Earth Day! I bet there has been talk in her house too!  We painted the cutest handprint Earths for art. Can't wait until you see them.
We were also very excited this morning to show AJ and Bronwynn our new chickens! They even laid an egg for us to collect before school.  If your children want you to see them I am working on clearing a path in front of the windows of the chicken coop for you to peek in without disturbing them.  We are so excited to show Oden our chickens because he is our very own experienced chicken farmer!!!

Happy Easter!

Thank you to all the parents who helped make our Easter parties a success!  Thank you, Eddy, Ali, Wyatt and Oden for bringing in goodies, and creative snacks for us!

We made Easter crowns, played a few Easter games, sang some Easter songs. Everyone is excited for the Easter egg hunt this afternoon. It will be inside this year!
Lillian and Anthony's Grandma and aunt brought in 4 puppies for us to meet today.  So cute. I will post some photos soon.
Happy Easter, everyone!!

Pictures!

I'm at my mom and dad's, and I brought my camera to put some pictures on my blog.  Enjoy.
 Five little snowman finger play.

They all made their own snowmen and cut them out.

Wyatt, Lillian and Anthony shoveled off a 'rink' to play hockey on!
We love spray bottles in the snow.
 Their 'rink'!
 Valentine's Day!
We had two extra children on this day!!!

Lillian and Bronwynn playing hockey with mini sticks.
Ali, Bronwynn and Oden working together to pull A.J.!

 St. Patricks Day!

Happy 1st Birthday A.J.  He loved his cupcakes!!

walking and running

Wow, these babies are keeping me busy! AJ has discovered a new game of chasing the older children while he pushes his walking toy!  Yesterday, while I was making lunch, Eddy seemed like he wanted to walk. I offered my hands and he dragged me around the house running as fast as his little legs could go! What fun!
Today we used Easter stickers for art. The older children love stickers, and it's great for their fine motor skills. I helped
AJ, he did not like the sticky side if the stickers on his fingers. It was pretty funny. And big cousin ,Bronwynn told me that AJ wasn't allowed to do art. Hope I'm not in too much trouble!
The children now know the song sleeping bunnies, and were singing it while I was making lunch. I was so impressed to see Bronwynn, Lillian and Wyatt taking turns singing the song while the other two slept and hopped!

spring

We got the bikes and trikes out this morning. Now to remember how to ride them, and strengthen our muscles that we haven't used all winter to push ourselves on the bikes.
Wyatt was so excited to go play in the mud and the snow today. He actually rolled around in the mud outside. So sorry, Ellen!!! But that was funny:-)
