What was that?

What was that? I think a leprechaun snuck into my daycare at nap time! Won't the children be excited to find some gold when they wake up?!!
We had a great morning. Thanks to all for dressing in green! Thanks to A.J. and grandma for the delicious muffins. Thanks to Wyatt for the hats! We made green headbands, and had our faces painted! Great first day back after March Break!:-)

Happy March Break

We changed the toys today at nap time. (Great to have Anthony home from school to help with that!) The kids are really enjoying them now. We will be heading outside shortly to enjoy the warm winter weather. Then the day care is closed for March Break. Enjoy and I will see everyone back the week of March 17.

Blue and yellow make...

We got some blue and yellow paint out to make green paint! The 3 year olds loved this activity, and are even making different shades of green.
A.J. is having fun chasing the boulder from our construction set, and is happy just to have me sitting on the floor with him!

Looks like a cold week.

Well, it looks like another cold week here. At least the sun warms things up in the afternoons. We'll spend most of our outside time walking to the bus. Maybe we'll do some sledding if the hill isn't too ice.
We are reading St. Patrick's Day stories at circle time, and are practicing saying leprechaun! That's a tricky word. We are also have push toys out for A.J. as he continues to learn how to walk. The older children get so excited to see him stand... I think their excitement is the best encouragement a baby could have!!

dolls

We have been busy playing with the dolls here. They join us at the table for snacks, and today two of them came outside with us. The kids put the dolls in the sled with a blanket to keep them warm! They even came to the barn with us to see the calves, but somehow I ended up having to pull the sled with the dolls back to the house!

We made bookworm bookmarks for craft, and had a longer circle time with a Franklin story, and a lot of discussion because we had a group of older children today!
